To kick-off 2013, we’ve decided to feature our first retail customer as our “Retailer of the Week.” It is the family-owned Spring Lake Custom Golf located in Spring Lake, New Jersey. Owner, Mike Mattia got the idea to open the store after his son Nick graduated from the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, SC. Both Mike and Nick have formal golf training from Mitchell Golf in Dayton, Ohio and are certified in club repair and custom fitting. Since golf is so popular where they live in Spring Lake starting up a golf shop was the natural fit. Opened about a year and a half ago, SPLC offers custom fitting and regripping services along with your everyday golfing apparel and merchandise.
“ScoreBand is a great product and I have no problem introducing it to our customers especially since it has multiple uses,” said Spring Lake Custom Golf Owner Mike Mattia. “We have sold quite a few the past few months because it makes for a great Christmas gift.” As an early proponent of ScoreBand, we will be closely following Spring Lake’s success and making sure they are always stocked with plenty of ScoreBand’s.
